Jamie’s Italian, Manchester

I ate at the stunning Jamie’s Italian,100 King Street Manchester a couple of weeks ago and what an experirience it was. Set in Edwin Luytens Grade II listed building it was formerly the Midland Bank. The interior was designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, who has worked on over twenty of the restaurants, and was sympathetically refitted using original found materials and it retains the grand atmosphere of the original build.Vaulted ceilings,Wood panelling ironwork stair bannister, marble columns, bankers lamps, oversized chandeliers, not to mention the original vault (which can be privately hired out) it is an imposing interior which now has an element of fun.I was even taking pictures of the toilets! The staff made you feel very welcome and looked after you beautifully. The food and drink was reasonable priced and oh yes the food was good too!

I would love to go back soon just to sit in the most beautiful space in the middle of lovely Manchester.
