I’m liking Burberry’s atmospheric Autumn/Winter shot at night in the depths of London Towns Royal Navel College.Directed by Burberry’s creative director Christopher Bailey and filmed by Mario Testino, it stars many new and established muses such as the like of actress Gabriella Wilde and singer Roo Panes.Celebrating Britishness the campaign conjours up images of Sherlock Holmes and Jack the Ripper it is both dark and atmospheric and is Burberrys most cinematic campaign to date.The soundtrack Indigo Home was written by Roo Panes specially for the campaign.
We wanted to play with everything that’s at the heart of the Burberry world – celebrating our brand and London through imagery, film, music, weather and our iconic outerwear, all in a very poetic and British way. Using London as the backdrop, we shot the series of cinematic, emotive black and white images and short films with the incredibly talented Gabriella Wilde and Roo Panes, who effortlessly bring the campaign and our collections to life across all of our platforms.
Cleverly coinciding with the launch of the fashion campaign,the brands ‘Runway to Reality” the collection will be available to buy online and through short films ay Burberry.com and through social media as soon as the catwalk collection go’s live, meaning that it is available a whole season ahead of traditional collections.
The Burberry collection is available to buy from the 1st June and will merge beautifully with the hype of the Jubilee and Olympic celebrations.Christopher Bailey you clever old thing!
